About Meliflo

Artificial intelligence at the heart of beekeeping

Founded in 2024 in Lorient, France, Meliflo was born from a shared vision: harnessing technological innovation to serve beekeepers. In a context of climate disruption and growing uncertainties, we are building a modular AI-powered IoT solution for apiculture.

Our three core objectives:

  • Care for the health and well-being of your colonies.
  • Optimize the management and productivity of your apiaries.
  • Secure your operation day in, day out.

Our mission

Transform complex data into actionable insights to ensure bee well-being, anticipate risks (disease, starvation, anomalies), prevent theft, and optimize honey production.

Expertise forged in Silicon Valley, rooted in France

Meliflo is built on the complementary skills of two engineers who graduated from UTC (Université de Technologie de Compiègne), with decades of international innovation between them.

Maurice Martin

Co-founder & CTO

A seasoned entrepreneur and hardware systems expert, Maurice co-founded Brixlogic in San Francisco in 2001, a company specializing in financial systems integration that was acquired by Diebold Nixdorf in 2007. After living across the globe (San Francisco, Vancouver, Thailand), he now brings his unique expertise to designing ultra-robust sensors and firmware, crafted to withstand the demanding conditions of the field.

Franck Patte

Co-founder

A seasoned engineer and software architecture expert, Franck spent 5 years in Silicon Valley as a senior operational research consultant for ILOG (acquired by IBM in 2006). He subsequently held VP Engineering position in the eCommerce sector and founded his own consultancy, serving as interim CTO and Chief Architect for large organizations such as Essilor. A Java and Ruby expert with a passion for generative AI, he now designs Meliflo's predictive models to translate subtle hive signals into precise diagnostics.

A collaborative and scientific approach

Technology is nothing without real-world grounding. That is why Meliflo works hand in hand with professional beekeepers and scientists. This hybrid approach ensures our tools meet the biological needs of bees while fitting seamlessly into your daily operations.

Together, let's build a more resilient, connected, and sustainable beekeeping.
